There is a very interesting relationship between the planets and love life of an individual. There are twelve houses in a horoscope governing different aspects of life. Out of these, 5th , 7th and 12th houses deal with love affairs and marriage of a person. For a female native, position of mars in the horoscope signifies love life, whereas for a male, Venus represents quality of love and family life he can have along with consideration of houses mentioned above.

With the help of planets, we can also judge the affinity and love between the individuals of opposite sex. Apart from the general match making based on birth constellation (Janam nakshatra), position of mars in a female horoscope and position of Venus in male horoscope with respect to each other tells us about the attraction between the couple.

If mars in a horoscope of a female and Venus in the horoscope of a male are in the same sign of a zodiac, they will be attracted to each other. Closer the degree of planets, deeper will be the attraction between them. If both the planets are of same degree in same sign, there will be maximum attraction between the couple and there will definitely be ‘love at first sight’. Similarly, if both the planets are in mutually opposite signs or in square to each other, there will be much attraction. On the contrary, if both the planets are in 6th and 8th or 2nd and 12th from each other, there will be disliking and sort of repulsion between the couple. In this case, even if other planetary combinations favour, the relationship will be full of frictions and differences and it is difficult to from a long lasting and smooth relationship.

Further, if mars in a female horoscope and Saturn or Rahu in a male horoscope are in same sign of zodiac, both get attracted to each other. But in this kind of combination, female natives should be careful about the person because he may only have selfish interest in her and female may suffer under the wrong influence. This kind of relation may be a temporary one and may end in failure. Now, if mars of a female and Jupiter of male native are in same sign of zodiac, then because of Jupiter being a natural benefic, there will not be any harm to the female native from that person.

We can predict a love marriage if there is favorable relationship between 5th and 7th houses or if there is a romantic planet like Venus or moon in 7th house. If the above said two houses are afflicted or unfavourably disposed the relationship will not materialize in marriage or the married life of native will be quite disturbed. If the two houses i.e. 5th and 7th are favourably related to 9th house (House of religion) then the marriage will be in same caste. And, if houses are not favourably related to 9th houses or 9th house is afflicted by a malefic planet, native will marry a person from different caste or religion, or there may be an unconventional marriage. There are several other combinations which determine whether there will be love or arranged marriage. Also, there are many combinations in a horoscope which lead an individual to have secret marriage, extra-marital relations, adultery etc.

Therefore astrologers should carefully examine the position of mars and Venus along with janam nakshatra while judging the compatibility of a couple, so that they lead a happy and prosperous married life.
